Soon after Nurgazy received the investment from us, he went shopping! Nurgazy showed me some of the things that he bought. These included:

• A hunting rifle that be bought for $2,000. If I recall correctly, the rifle was made in Finland
• A small shop that he bought for $15,000
• A microwave oven, which he stored in my apartment until his apartment was ready

He bought many other things for personal use, and also did renovations to his apartment.

Other than for personal use, Nurgazy also purchased equipment for the business. As I wrote in the article “The Break-Up”, Nurgazy and his former business partner Mr. A decided to stop working together and split the business. Equipment and staff were distributed between Nurgazy’s and Mr. A’s new business. Because the equipment got shared, Nurgazy’s new business needed additional equipment. Our investment helped him to make the purchases, which helped him to grow the business. When we invested, Nurgazy owned an apartment and his vehicle, a Lexus 4WD. His vehicle was purchased with a loan from ATF. I am not aware of other property or investments that he owned. So the amount we invested was more than what Nurgazy was worth. I guess when he received the investment, he felt tempted to spend because suddenly so much money came into his possession. Later I realized that his thinking was that he would continuously receive more money from us. He even mentioned it to me a few times. Unfortunately I found this out afterwards.

Our goal of investing in Trilight was to help it to grow and prepare it to attract foreign investors and partners. When such incidents occur, it is very difficult to present the business to foreign organisations and ask then for support.
